Introduction
The interest in steel and wood furniture started when the owner opened a coffee shop. To save on set-up costs, she decided to self-build shop fittings. Steel was an obvious choice due to its steadiness and wood always has a beautiful aesthetic.
This was followed by a coffee kiosk in one of the major shopping malls in South Africa where design is critical. A more formalized self-build was successfully completed and approved by the landlord without any revisions required.
This created the confidence the owner was looking for and gave birth to Steel Valley Magnolias a trademark for handcrafted furniture owned by Steel Valley Magnolia (Pty) Ltd.
Steel Valley Magnolias is a family owned private company duly registered in South Africa. Whilst the company was registered in 2021, the owner started producing custom made furniture from the family garage from 2019.
To become a prestigious manufacturer of handcrafted steel and wood furniture that services diverse customers in Africa.
To produce quality steel and wood furniture that will be modular, minimalist and mobile sold on digital platforms.
